Sinterklaas tournament
The Sinterklaas tournament 2011 was a great success once again, with 75 teams from eleven countries, from England to Slovenia and from Norway to France.
Friday 25 november we welcomed the participants in the Zeeburghal. There was the registration (hosted housing, programme booklets and tickets), mixed volleyball at the courts and a nice crowdy mingling in the canteen. With Black Pete. |

Saturday 26 november was the tournament in Sporthallen Zuid.
The organisation had everything under control.
| In the three halls we had excellent tournament leaders. |
| The only thing the teams had to worry about, was playing volleyball. And how difficult is that? Just serving ... |
| Of course the opponent is allowed to block ... |
| O yes, the teams had to be referee or score keeper once in a while. |
| Some teams were appropritately dressed up in The Roaring Twenties theme. |
Others didn't quite grasp the theme or had their very own interpretation. |
| In the canteen it was all bright cheerfulness ... |
The highlights were the lunch and the visit of the not very holy Klazina with the not very black Pete. |
| Later on in Hotel Barbizon the guests were welcomed by real Roaring Twenties VIPs. The buffet was delicious. The medal ceremony in style. |
Then the party broke loose. Good music and some extraordinary performances.
The smokers outside rather suitably dwelled beneath a sign 'Hope for an other life'. |
| Sunday 27 november the St. Olof chapel was transformed for the copious brunch. |
