Welcome on our site Netzo is a volleyball club in Amsterdam for gays and lesbians. Officially established in 1988, but then we were playing some five years already. At the moment we have just about 90 members, roughly as many men as women.In the regular Dutch volleyball league we compete with four women teams (1th, 4th, 5th and 6th class) and one men team (2nd class). Netzo also participates in the European Gay and Lesbian League. We love to go to tournaments in the Netherlands and abroad and each year we ourselves organize our famous international Sinterklaas tournament. Training Fridays we train in Sporthal Zeeburg. On four courts, from 19 till 21 hrs and from 21 till 23 hrs. For the women we have four training groups and for the men three, divided according to level of volleyball skills.After the training we have a drink and a chat in the canteen. You can train three times for free to see if you like the atmosphere. When you become a member later in the season, the treasurer will determine how much you will have to pay. Netzo is member of the Dutch Volleyball Association NeVoBo. Playing in the league costs € 57,50 per year. Netzo has concluded a liability insurance for all member together. The premium is included in the membership fee. |
